Our Program
Prequel Beauty Academy is kicking off in August, 2026 with a 1000-clock hour cosmetology program. This program is designed to train future cosmetologists to excel in their line of work, grow a fruitful career in our industry, and pass the state board exams.

Hair Styling, Cutting, and Coloring
The core of this industry is in cutting, coloring, and styling. Our students will spend plenty of time in these fundamental and advanced skill sets, making sure they feel confident to perform these services on paying guests before graduation.

Extensions, mesh integration, and more.
Prequel Beauty Academy is located conveniently inside of Storybook Salon -- Lynchburg's premium extension hub. With extension specialists as the PBA instructors, students will receive expert advanced training on extensions and non-invasive hair loss solutions. Students will graduate prepared to provide extension services.

Skin and Nails
PBA currently offers a hair and skin-focused cosmetology program! Students will receive thorough training on cosmetology-approved skincare services, including classes taught by guest speaker master estheticians. Nail performances will be conducted in accordance with state board. The students will be provided with the basics of manicuring and pedicuring services.

Business
PBA's director and lead instructor, Samantha Paris, specializes in the business side of the beauty industry. From social media and marketing, to financial literacy, to customer service and beyond -- our students will graduate with knowledge we all wish we had started our careers with.
